It can be tough to sort out all the nutrition advice scattered every place you look. Plant-based, Keto, Paleo, Intermittent Fasting, Low Fat, Low Carb, High Protein, Mediterranean, and the list goes on. Which is best? None of them. What is best is a customized nutrition plan that is geared to YOUR goals, needs, special circumstances, and helps you develop healthy nutrition habits or life. We are all unique individuals and what is best for one is not best for another. Nutrition is individualized and specialized for each individual.
Macronutrients are carbohydrates, protein, and fat. These nutrients are the main building blocks and energy providers for the body. Not getting enough raises risks and can lead to energy deficiencies and risk of illness. Micronutrients are made up of vitamins and minerals. They help carry out specific chemical reactions in the body, help regulate hormonal function, and are vital in preventing disease. We are all different and some of us need more of these than others. Again, it's a customized approach.
Nutrition Coaching will guide you, teach you, and help you accomplish your goals. You will learn lifestyle habits centered around fueling your body in the healthiest way and establishing a healthy relationship with food. Nutrition should NOT be about deprivation and restriction. Nutrient should be self-empowering and lead to greater energy and self-confidence.
What is included with nutrition coaching…
We will discuss your health history and any current ailments, your food preferences and patterns, as well as your challenges and goals towards creating the healthy lifestyle you desire. We also determine your unique lifestyle needs and desires, including your schedules, family structure, skills, and values related to healthy living.
I will create a customized health & nutrition plan. I don’t endorse any particular diet because we are all individuals with unique lives, needs, and bodies. I will work with you every step of the way to create a customized plan to provide you with structure and guidance to help you reach your goals. Included are meal-planning, recipe ideas, restaurant guidance, and lifestyle resources.
Follow-up appointments via phone or in-person provide you with valuable time to check-in. We will discuss how you are doing on your plan, make any adjustments, answer questions, and set goals. These sessions are about you and a time for you to get the motivation and guidance you need.
Other added services include grocery store trips and establishing a fitness plan.
